AUGUST GIVEAWAY WITH THE EMISSARY!

 Today is National Prosecco Day so to celebrate I have teamed up with Ed Smith, Founder of @theemissaryprosecco company to offer you an amazing mixed case of his gorgeous Prosecco.
 
CONFESSION: I don’t drink a lot of Prosecco but a couple of years ago Ed forced me to try his bubbles at the London Wine Fair and I am so glad he did! There are no synthetic, sugary,big bubbles here!
 
Singe estate, sustainably produced, lower dosage (less sugar) and vegan – these bubbles are as elegant as the beautifully designed bottles that they come in.

TASTING NOTES:
 
PROSECCO DOC TREVISO SPUMANTE EXTRA BRUT
Super dry, light and crisp. I ADORED the purity of apple, pear and honeysuckle both in the perfume and on the palate. The bubbles are small, persistent and this passed my litmus test for Prosecco.. does it have that slight savoury and cleansing finish?! And yes, this one does!!
And the 15% pinot grigio adds that extra floral perfume. Yum!
 
ASOLO PROSECCO SUPERIORE DOCG BRUT – my personal fave
Similar to the DOC but the DOCG guarantees more ‘oomf’ and richness. Imagine baked pears infused with spicy cardamom, sprinkled with candied lemon peel but still having a revivifying purity. I loved the extra intensity and rounder body – great with food.
 
PROSECCO ROSÉ DOCG ROSÉ TREVISO
Blended with 15% pinot noir, these rose hued bubbles offer summer pudding fruit berries infused with spicy orange bitters. Perfect party summer wine.
