Award for the people by the people

Yesterday was my 4th time co hosting @peopleschoicedrinksawards for wine and it still feels like such a honour.

The People’s Choice wine awards are the only national wine awards which involve non trade individuals in the judging process, with wine professionals participating alongside. I fell in love with this concept as soon as I heard about it and wanted to get involved.

Last night it was incredible to see how much this award has grown. From ever increasing number of lifestyle centric categories to a far greater diversity of countries being represented, it really seemed to epitomise the evolving landscape of the UK.

I love what these awards represent in terms of inclusivity and making wine relatable and fun. The event itself mirrors those very values and it’s always such a delight going to Manchester and seeing dear old friends and meeting new. Last night as these pics show, was no exception.

Huge huge congratulations to Janet and Judy for an incredible evening and for having such an award exist. Your strong values and philosophy behind this concept, are really something to be celebrated in itself! Cheers xx

Ps big shout out to my co host @reservewines who also won Best Independent Retailer last night! That was definitely a highlight xx
