Alsace Giveaway – The wines you can win

For this month’s wine giveaway, you can win 6 organic Alsace Wines as September is Organic Month!

Let me take you through 3 of the wines – all very different styles and grapes and NONE are a Riesling. Alsace is not a one trick pony. And a couple of these wines you can’t get in the UK….

Wine Number 1:  Domaine Ansen Crémant d’Alsace Brut Nature

This is honestly the best Crémant which I have had all year – and it’s not available in the UK – which makes this giveaway extra special.
@domaineansen is a Brut Nature which means that it has no added sugar at the end of the winemaking process.  
Sometimes Brut Natures can be fairly austere but this wine exudes fantastic fruit  and structure. It smells of dried apple rings and tastes of baked apple on a  panettone base with a slight toffee nut nuance.
Eat with roast pork and apple sauce, macaroni and cheese or tahini infused veggies – this is super pure yet personality

2nd Wine:  Domaine Léon Boesch Pinot Noir ‘Luss’ 2022

Pinot Noir is the only red grape allowed in Alsace
From @domaine.leon.boesch we have ‘Luss’ – which could be also be described as lush!
It’s So textured and perfumed from a biodynamic winery which has been running for 11 generations.
I adore the smoky oolong tea spice and indulgent tannins.
Enjoy with charcuterie, spare ribs, hoisin duck pancakes, teriyaki marinated Tempeh – you could go wild! 

3rd Wine – last but not least : Domaine Gresser Moenchberg Gewurtztraminer 2019 @domaineremygresser

This is a lush, full bodied wine from a Grand Cru site which means this has succulence, intensity but also a nervy backbone. No flabby Gewurtz on my watch. There is plenty of peach ,apricot and floral spice but it is deliciously tangy whilst still being opulent.
Order in some sushi or fusion food – it is just amazing and you also can’t get it in the UK which makes it super exciting.
